We are so deeply grateful and blessed to be here in Toronto, the Land of the Dish with One Spoon, to share these beautiful tidings of joy – to share the teachings of our Ancestors and to walk with this amazing community to bring healing and reconciliation to this sacred place.
During this time of powerful transformation, known as the Time Out of Time to my Cherokee Ancestors, we are seeing the emergence of many Spiritual Leaders.
Some of these people believe they are a part of what the Bible calls the 144,000.
There are many interpretations of this number and its meaning. Some believe it represents the scattered tribes of Ancient Israel. Some believe it represents the sacred messengers of the Great Spirit who have come to earth during this time of massive transformation that is hitting every person on this planet.
“Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.” – Joel 2:29
In the Cherokee tradition, the people of the Bird Clan are the messengers of the Great Spirit, sent to bring the peoples’ prayers to heaven and to inspire them and teach them the ways of God.
Around the world, these folks we call Bird Clan Messengers are awakening to their true spiritual purpose. Theirs has not been an easy life as many come from beginnings of inter-generational trauma, addictions, living without homes, loss of connection to their families and cultures.
These mighty warriors have not only survived their circumstances, but are thriving and moving forward to lead their communities through the murky times ahead.
Our great Native Turtle Island Oglala Lakota Prophets like Chief Crazy Horse, our Holy Man and Medicine Man Black Elk, and Chief Arvol Looking Horse, the 19th Generation Keeper of the Sacred White Buffalo Calf Pipe have all told us that humanity’s time of great decision is here.
Those who believe they are among the 144,000 must have the ability to fly between many worlds.
To understand the military and political aspects of life on planet earth as it is truly being shaped by our consciousness. We cannot ignore politics at this moment or ever again or we will risk losing our planet forever to the great evil.
Those who believe they are among the 144,000 must be able to understand and interpret the spiritual teachings of many cultures and be open to learning and dialogue rather than attacking others.
As our great leaders have taught us, we make many more friends and lose far fewer lives through calm discussion rather than through fighting with one another.
Those who believe they are among the 144,000 will have a daily (sometimes constant) spiritual practice that not only includes prayer but ceremony and on the ground work in their communities.
We have seen that many of these folks are already using social media platforms to share the beautiful messages of the Great Awakening, and we foresee this great technology as the best path to reach many people.
Those who believe they are among the 144,000 must be actively preparing to take leadership roles – to step into the mission that each one has agreed to before coming to this planet from the spirit world.
I received this powerful teaching from my Medicine Woman, Geraldine Standup at Anishnawbe Health Toronto.
Grandmother Standup, who recovered my spirit into my body with an Eagle feather and Smudge ceremony, shared that in the Mohawk tradition, we each write our own stories that we will live out every day on earth while we are still in the Spirit world.
Every single person we encounter has agreed to be a part of our journey in order to help us achieve our true purpose – which always only comes through pain and suffering.
This is a beautiful forgiveness teaching, as it shows us that (because we only grow through pain) the ones who hurt us the most in the physical world are the ones who love us the most in the Spirit world.
But, this teaching also encourages us in our own understanding of our selves and our purpose here on Mother Earth at this particular time.
When we are aligned with our Spirit, we are much clearer about our own identity and mission.
Those who believe they are among the 144,000 have been working on their healing and alignment with the Great Spirit for a long time. They have done the research and spread their messages even though doing so has cost relationships, jobs, and usually has required the complete loss of their old lives. For it is only through surrender that we are able to walk in alignment with our truth.
This is not a path for the faint of heart. But the rewards are great indeed.
Lots to process here, so I’ll leave it with
Welcome to the Great Awakening all you who are hungering for truth. Buckle up, 144K messengers. This is your wake-up call. Your validation.
It is my honour to be your messenger.
S’gi (thank you in the Cherokee language)

The Medicine Wheel
The Medicine Wheel is an Ancient teaching tool used throughout history by Indigenous peoples of all nations. Native Turtle Island People use the Medicine Wheel to organize and understand our lives and as a visual aid to help us learn and teach our Traditional Culture.
Because I follow Native Turtle Island and Celtic Traditional teachings, I have found using the Medicine Wheel and its many teaching tools along with daily practice – and especially Medicine Walks in my community – are powerful healing forces that help me demonstrate surrender.
