Plant Meds: Sacred Cedar

I have been working some medicine for a 3rd Chakra skin imbalance, and in my search for the right medicine, learned a lot about some of Mother Earth’s finest plant gifts to us – lavender, peppermint, coconut oil, cider vinegar, aloe vera – and one of the Medicine Wheel Four: Our Lady Cedar.

My teacher, Pete Keshane (a Traditional Healer from Saskatchewan who heals and teaches with Anishnawbe Health, Toronto’s Indigenous Healing Center), has given me several lessons about Cedar and some of his other medicines. Continue reading “Plant Meds: Sacred Cedar”

Mother Maia: Feeling Our Way Home

Maia, our Pleiadian Mother teaches us the only thing that truly matters in our journey here with Mother Gaia is how we feel.

Our heart is our guide on the spiral pathway that leads to our home.

When we feel good we are at our best. We shine our lights on other people who need to see them.

When we feel good feelings inside, we want to express love, joy, and peace to everyone and we do so by choosing thoughts, words, clothing, foods, and deeds that vibrate on those 5D and above levels.

RumiSilentPull

We come here to Mother Gaia at this time to help one another feel good through presenting one another with choices. Our good choices lead to well-being and raise the vibrational frequency of our planet and the human collective.

Poor choices lead to anger and conflict, wounded hearts, souls, minds, and the physical destruction of our Selves and our world.

BadChoices

These choices usually appear as events and situations we first misunderstand to be conflicts because the issues surrounding them dredge up frightening emotions. Most of us aren’t yet in complete control of our primitive impulses, so we still often respond to conflict through our adrenals – i.e. flight or fight.

But, the truth of the situation is that it is only an opportunity to choose – between the pathway of light or the path of darkness. Events that our frightened mind understands as “conflict” are actually gifts of service by our loved ones in Spirit who have come to play their roles in our journey.

You see, the conflict serves as the catalyst (the trigger) for the opening of a doorway which leads to a path of many opportunities to choose between light and dark. Between using our good mind, or remaining in our fearful ego.

This is the essence of the Choice of Life or Death that all great Spiritual Masters have come to teach Mother Gaia’s children.

This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. — Deuteronomy 30:19-20

Each choice we make individually and as human collectives — in families, clans, villages, cities, states, nations and around our world — has a direct impact on the quality of our lives and everything around us.

Each choice that leads us along the pathway of light brings us divine grace and healing which empowers us further on our path . . .

. . . where we will again and again be presented with opportunities to receive even more grace and healing by making the correct choice.

Good Buffalo Eagle, a Native American and co-Founder of Anasazi Foundation, offers this teaching about the Sacred Gift of Choice, given to all the Two-Legged Beings – and the consequences of our choices.

At every moment, every point in your life, you have the power to choose – whether you will walk forward into the light or walk backward into the darkness.

Which path do you choose today?

Music Medicine: I Am The Light Of My Soul

This morning, as I was working to prepare my friend, Melissa Teague’s excellent article on emotional and spiritual healing for publication, Spirit gave me this incredible gift of musical medicine:

Bliss - I am the light of my soul
Bliss ~ Sirgun Kaur & Sat Darshan Singh ~ I am the light of my soul

Snatam Kaur is an American-born citizen of the world who uses her powerful musical gifts to teach and heal people of all faith backgrounds. In this beautiful song, Snatam is joined by Sat Darshan Singh, a Kundalini Yoga teacher and musician “who has spent his entire life surrounded by the Aquarian Sadhana.”

The duet that these two brilliant teachers and healers have created in “Bliss – I Am The Light of My Soul,” has the power to crack open the most stubborn, hard places in our hearts and opens us up to God’s pure healing light.

Liz McCollum Lord wrote about the song in 2011:

“Bliss (I am the Light of My Soul)” combines English with Gurbani, as Sirgun sings the English mantra “I am the Light of My Soul” and Sat Darshan breaks in with Anand Sahib. The layering of the many voices, and the layering of the languages of English and Gurbani are so sweet and lovely.”

Of course, being the research junkie that I am, I had to go track down the words that Sat Darshan is singing, and I discovered the Sacred Prayer of Sikhs: The Anand Sahib.

From Wiki: “Below are the first 5 and the 40th (last) Shabads of the Anand Sahib: (This is NOT the complete Anand Sahib which consists of 40 Shabads in total!”

I really enjoyed reading the words of the Anand Sahib while Sat Darshan was chanting along with Snatam Kaur. The sound of their voices raised in praise in two different languages is sublime and deeply healing.

I hope you love this medicine as much as I do.

Thank you for reading.

Melissa Teague: The Science of Emotions

Melissa Teague is a spiritual warrior, teacher and writer whose primary focus is animal rescue. Wise Woman Rising is honored to share Melissa’s recent teaching about the importance of our emotions.  Chi Miigwetch — Editor

“Emotions are energy, as is everything. All measurable by science today.” — Melissa Teague

Every emotion carries with it a specific, identifiable frequency. Feelings and emotions trigger the body to release tiny neuropeptides which are critical for the metabolic functioning, including the release of hormones in the body.

When we feel positive emotions like joy, excitement, love, and true gratitude, our body releases an endorphin like chemical called oxytocin which makes us feel happy and fulfilled.

Negative emotions do not cause an immediate dump of hormones, but the prolonged presence of these negative emotions, which are usually buried in the subconscious mind, will cause havoc to ensue within the body’s communications systems & hormonal flow.

As our emotions and feelings change, the mixture of peptides travels all throughout the body & brain, changing the chemistry of every cell in the body. This causes physiological changes within the body for the worse or the better, depending on whether there are more stress hormones or oxytocin chemicals released.

molecules-of-emotion-quotes

Without our realizing it, “frozen” unconscious emotions like anger, fear, hatred, humiliation, unworthiness, greed, lust, cowardice, sadness, grief, and deep pain are what usually rule us until we do the deep work of emotional healing and spiritual recovery.

Most of us “manage” these emotions by avoiding them at first, neither feeling or acknowledging them. But, when these emotions are not fully felt at the time they are first experienced, then we usually form unconscious habits surrounding them.

Unacknowledged and unhealed, stagnant emotions also cause blockages that keep our energy from moving as it should, and this causes disease and health issues in the areas where the energy flow is being obstructed.

The body is nothing more than an amalgamation or combination of energies vibrating at a certain velocity. The earth and universe is made up of oscillating, moving and swirling energies and so are we. It is unnatural for energy not to be in constant movement and flow.

Ancient texts speak of unfelt emotions being stored in the body’s energetic field, which is a field or body of energy that surrounds the physical body and can be measured by science.

When we come in contact with someone who triggers these deeply held, mostly unfelt emotions like unworthiness, guilt, pain or shame it usually means they are triggering a memory of that same deeply painful feeling or emotion held in the subconscious. We all have had people do this to us, and we usually do not understand why we feel a certain negative way towards these people.

emotions_in_body
EFT Healer Christine Hunt explores current teachings on energy and healing in her article, “How Your Thoughts and Emotions Can Make You Sick.”

If we take the time to examine the feelings and emotions that these conflicts bring to the surface for us, and remember where those emotions first began within us, we can clear the blockages caused by the stagnated negative energy. Doing so eventually creates a more peaceful state of being, as the subconscious mind stops rehashing the stored emotions, and creates new habits and ways of being.

By being more self aware and conscious of our emotions, we can literally alter the physiology of our bodies. This is the essence of healing.

We need to examine and take an honest look at our beliefs, why we have them and spend some time reflecting on old painful experiences to get a clear understanding of the emotions and habits they’ve led us to create for ourselves.

Being aware of the answers is healing in and of itself, it just takes the courage to look inside ourselves and become more self aware.

View From 40K Feet ∞ A Big Slice O’ Momma’s Best π

This morning, as I was sitting with my guides and planning my day, they said: “Hey Girl – did you know today is Pi Day? Do you have ANY IDEA what that means???”

Since the day of my arrival on this planet, my motto has been, “But, what does it mean?” So, naturally I launched into high-gear research junkie mode.

Thanks to the Science and Math Heroes in our lives, most of us know March 14 is the day we celebrate the number 3.14 – known as Pi (Thanks, y’all).  But many of us (who aren’t actual ROCKET SCIENTISTS like Jesse, my homey from The Ville), don’t know a whole lot about the multi-facted miracle of Pi.

The folks at Pi Day dot Org have gathered up the Science & Math basics -> Here’s a starting point for your education about π and Pi Day.

But, Pi goes well beyond the realm of Science and Math into virtually every aspect of our lives here on Planet Earth – from perfect symmetry in the Created World, to powerful Metaphysical Truths and Universal Laws.

Although it’s still a bit hard to see through the remaining density of Gaia’s 3D state (which is still recovering from the imbalance caused by too much patriarchal power over the past few thousand years), there is increasingly abundant evidence showing 3.14 to be a number of the Divine Feminine. The Archetypal Mother. The Great Goddess.

MothersOfTheWorldWe passed through the Crux of the 7th Fire and 7th Trumpet Prophecies on 3.11 (calendar opposite of 9.11); and, the evidence of the Great Mother’s return is now impossible to ignore.

Today’s events (3.14.18) are really quite something. There is profound and divine synchronicity in the relationship between Pi and the anniversary dates of some of humanity’s greatest minds: Galileo, Einstein, Hawking (Rest well, our friend), the numerology, sacred geometry, and mathematical significance of the number 3.14.

And – Holy OM (!) – the relationship between the Divine Feminine and the CIRCLE is ubiquitous in humanity’s collective understanding of the Sacred.  There is a TON of information about Pi and I could just go on and on forever, but instead of a big blathery post filled with MY words, I’ve just decided to give you. . .

Pi Day Presents!PieDay

I am sharing some links (in no particular order) to sites/stories that I feel are good teachers and supporters to us as we return the essence of the Great Mother to our planet. This re-balancing is necessary to restore our planet, our communities, and our Selves to balance.

PICropCircleJweel Blog: “Symbols & Their Meaning: The Number Pi” ∞ This is a great article from a blog produced by a New Earth design group. Jweel explores the meaning of Pi in its many different facets – from mathematics and science to the Scriptures, teachings, and beliefs of all Spiritual traditions.

Blog Seattle: “The Pie Goddess in Enumclaw” ∞ While exploring the relationship between Pie and PIE (yum), I discovered a review about this little place called The Pie Goddess in Enumclaw, WA.

Enumclaw is roughly translated to “place of thunder” in the language of the Salish people who lived there before European settlers arrived. At this very moment in history, the Salish people are joined in British Columbia with Water Protectors from around the world in solidarity against the Justin Trudeau government’s Kinder-Morgan pipeline.

GrandmasPieCrustIf you can’t get to Enumclaw, WA to visit the Pie Goddess, Here is a video from the “Hands That Cook” YouTube Channel to teach you how to make pie crust the way Grandma used to make it.

Beyond Grandma’s heavenly pie-crust, there is a long relationship between the Divine Feminine and round pastry. From Greek and Roman Myth, we learn about Goddesses of Grain, Demeter and Ceres.

roman-bread-pie-pompeii
The remains of an ancient Roman bread pie from Pompeii, carbonized in the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 CE, featured in Stuart Dean’s article, “Why Is Pizza Round? The Black Goddess of Rome,” in feminismandreligion.com

Stuart Dean explores the deep symbolic expressions of the Great Goddess that we make when doing something as commonplace as making a pizza:

It is particularly significant that the pizza is made with or from all four elements.  Water, for example, is in the bread and (from milk) in the cheese.  Fire bakes the bread and smokes the cheese.  Earth produces the grain from which the bread is made and the herbs that are mixed into the spread.  Air functions in a variety of ways, most directly in activating the fire.  Thus, consistent with the world view Moretum can be associated with, the pizza does not merely represent, but actually is constituted by the elements that encircle and hence embody the Goddess.

3 + 14 + 18 = 8

Today’s date is a Number 8 in numerology. According to Master Numerologist, Hanz Decoz, “Eight is the great Karmic equalizer, a force that just as easily creates as it destroys. When the 8 comes knocking, you can be assured that you will reap what you’ve sown….The 8 balances the material and immaterial worlds. At its best, it is as spiritual as it is materialistic.” Read more about this year’s Pi numerology here.

Astrologer and numerologist Suzanne Wagner offers comfort to people who may be feeling blocked and uncomfortable today:

” Know that you may feel blocked from expressing your needs for companionship or the comforts of relationships this afternoon, perhaps due to your responsibilities or concerns. You might find that expressing your feelings and what you need from others is harder to do at the moment. Know that there is a shift as Mercury, Venus, and Chiron align tomorrow.” Suzanne’s complete blog post is here.

And finally, we hear from Rabbi Max Weiman’s exploration of Pi from the perspective of Kabbalah:

“In math the concept of infinity has evolved and advanced over the years. Our understanding of galaxies and light years has broadened our minds. Yet some fundamental truths like peace, love and harmony still struggle like a clinically depressed turtle to move forward for humanity.”

I’m getting this out much later than intended because wow (!) has Lady Karma been busy at my house today. I hope you all had a wonderful Pi Day, 2018. And looking forward to seeing where we are next year at this time.

Thank you for reading,

The Infinite Power of Alchemy: Katy Tucker’s Profound Teaching and Healing

Around the world, people of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds are awakening to the truth and power of our Spiritual Identities.

The process of transforming our Selves from physical-secular oriented beings to Spiritual Beings is known as Alchemy.

Wise Woman, teacher, and healer Katy Tucker offers this teaching that introduces us to Alchemy and the way we use this process to heal ourselves and our world.

AlchemyFrom the very beginning of humankind, Shamans and Medicine People have used the principals of Alchemy to guide and heal the people and their communities. With Gaia’s Ascension, we are experiencing a global paradigm shift that is causing people to awaken and remember the ancient wisdom, knowledge, teachings, and medicine that is our birthright as her children.

According to scientist and writer Annie Webb, “Alchemy can generally be defined as an ancient art form that seeks purification of the soul and immortality in parallel with the transmutation of chemical elements where gold symbolizes perfection.”  Read Annie’s great article about Alchemy at, Ultraculture.org.

Wise Woman Rising has been established to help people of all backgrounds awaken and reconnect with their Spiritual Selves. It is through our awakening and remembering our true power as children of Mother Earth and our Father in Heaven, as is the Indigenous Worldview, that we reclaim our power.
