Toronto – After we’ve had a terrible setback, it’s often tempting to get discouraged and fall into despair. But this is the very time we most need Bear Medicine – the medicine of the Grandmothers who will take us deep into the cave of our hearts and show us the lessons that we need to carry. They show us what medicine and lessons to keep and what to leave behind in order to heal and grow so we can move forward again in grace and dignity.
If we will take some time following a period of difficulty and failure to quiet ourselves, go within, and practice our spiritual discipline and re-focus on our healing, the Great Mother of the dark will give us exactly the medicine we need to rekindle the little spark that remains.

Often, when we are focused on our missions out in the world, we forget how important it is to continue our spiritual and healing practices.
And, when we walk outside of our alignment with love and truth, the world will give us a bump to help us remember what’s most important.
A couple of weeks ago, I lost my entire Facebook world of more than 10K people, including our Bird Clan Messenger page because of my work in revealing truth about what is happening in our world. I would be so grateful if you all would share my articles and upcoming videos on your social media pages and in your groups to help rebuild this growing community. I need my Bird Clan messengers now more than ever.
As we have published many times on Bird Clan Messenger, humanity is walking through a time of great transition in which people must choose whether to continue serving the distortions of the dark – materialism, extreme racism, governments controlled by criminals, human trafficking, intentional ignorance, support of human institutions over our relationship with the Great Spirit…
…or to do the hard work that ALWAYS begins with healing ourselves to walk into the New Earth frequencies and begin creating the world we have come to help build.
After I lost my Facebook network that accounted for more than 90% of the traffic to this website, I reeled around for a couple of days (surprisingly much less time than I would have before starting the healing path), and began to look for a new direction that would allow me to continue building Bird Clan Messenger and writing the development plans for The Cherokee Moon Workshop.

As I stepped out of the world of frenzy on Facebook, the Grandmothers began to show me how I was misusing so much of my time on social media, and then they began to show me all the millions of ideas and projects in development I have on the go right now.
I had gotten myself so overloaded with fantastic ideas for teachings, projects, & major initiatives that I was overwhelmed and frozen. Had no idea where to begin or what to do next. And this is a major area where I have to pay attention to my internal saboteur. Self-sabotage is real.
My forward push to develop my business is founded on the best intentions (like all good people) which are to figure out ways to bring in more money during this time of insecurity and chaos while finding ways to serve the people in my world. But the intense energy I was expending was only causing me to spin my wheels and wear myself out.
So – after consulting with The Ancestors and the Great Spirit through much prayer and self-reflection, I received an opportunity to leave the city to visit a friend on an island in a Ducks Unlimited wetland preserve on the lands of the Akwesasne Mohawk people of the St. Lawrence River.
This beautiful gift of grace is a demonstration of God’s perfect timing and not only offers me the chance to step back, take a breather and work on creating content but also to help my friend, reconnect with the water and the creatures on the island – and hopefully meet some of the owners of the land. The Grandmothers, who represent The Great Bear, remind us to listen to and develop our our intuition which is the direct line from our hearts, and remind us that we must watch closely the way we are balancing our time and attention to the many responsibilities of our lives in addition to the responsibilities we have come to accept for our mission here on Planet Earth.
It is important to remember that each step will take more time and effort than we want it to (this is a very difficult truth for a Hawk person and for many people with flyer energy).
But the slow pace of our Grandmother gives us the chance to determine the role we are playing in our own lives each day.
Are we mere passengers riding along on the ass of humanity? Or are we walking with the grace, power, dignity and leadership of the Grandmothers?
Are we here to blindly stumble along with the crowd? Or shall we take control of our own destinies, become conscious of our every choice, and demonstrate the essence of who we are through our character and our good choices?
Through my journey, I have learned over and over again that moving too quickly against the energies of our current situations often creates problems not only for ourselves but can also frighten those around us.

When we are at odds with or overwhelmed by our world, these are signs that it is time to stop, take a breath and focus inward. Go back to reconnect with the source of our essence and find the peace within that will direct us to the answers we’re seeking.
Ultimately, we choose between staying in the situation that we aren’t aligning with or raising our vibrations and looking to the hills to ask God for a more peaceful path.
Sometimes, the answer lies in drawing strong boundaries, giving ourselves time to refocus and reexamine our priorities, and making our intentions clear so we can stay put.
Sometimes, the answer lies in lifting ourselves out of our current circumstances and asking for the protection, guidance, and wisdom of the Great Spirit and the Ancestors – the Grandfathers, the Grandmothers and all our totems and guides – while we navigate the necessary changes to create a new way of life.
Many people are struggling with these kinds of issues right now, and it is so important that we all focus on our own healing and to take our down time to clarify our vision for our lives – for the legacy we want to leave behind.
And – to be kind to one another. Always.
It is my honour to be your messenger.
S’gi (thank you in the Cherokee language)
It is my honour to receive and share these teachings from my guides and the Ancestors. These are messages received and written to the best of my understanding. If I have made mistakes, I would be grateful for your input. If these messages don’t resonate with you, that’s okay. I wish you well. And if these messages do resonate with you – welcome to the family.
