Osiyo,

The Ancestors are speaking to us about racism and showing us how the evil ones have used the colour of our skin to divide us.

The Grandmothers and Grandfathers remind us that beneath our many coloured and spotted hides we all share the same belief in the Great Spirit. It is only when we walk the Sacred Red Road of the Ancestors of all Cultures that we realize the connection that will bring us together as Warriors of the Rainbow.

Black Elk WordsThe way to peace is not through hate and fighting – or demanding government proof our our identity and Ancestry which is the most essential aspect of our being. This is the way of division and the ultimate destruction of our beautiful way of life.

DNA tests, blood quantum, and demands for the settlers’ government documents are continuing the work of cultural genocide by driving away descendants of our Ancestors – indeed driving our own relatives away from learning about their family and culture. How can that possibly help bring together the Native people of Turtle Island?

Over and over in social media groups, we are seeing young ones who have been infected with the hatred of light skinned and mixed-blood Natives. Which causes terrible disrespect being hurled back at the full-bloods who are acting like bullies. Never ending cycle of anger and hate.

This is a terrible thing to witness, as it not only hurts others but also reflects the state of those peoples’ souls. And it passes their hatred onto their children and grandchildren.

These are the ones who are more concerned about spewing hatred and anger at others, laughing at people’s pain than spending time working on their own healing, focusing on raising their children in love and peace, or on cleaning out their own pipes to become like hollow bones as our brother, Grandfather Joseph White Eagle teaches here.

For those of us under attack by these ones suffering from an imbalance of darkness and light, we encourage you to remember that another person’s behavior speaks only about them and their character. No matter how they try to justify bad behavior, their words and actions tell their story.

PerceptionWe are so deeply blessed to be here on Mother Earth during this time of profound transformation as foretold by our great prophets and medicine people and visionaries.

Every thought, every word, every action contributes to the collective energy of the Earth’s people, and at this time more and more people are awakening and working on raising their frequency – lifting themselves up to the path of love. The Sacred Red Road of the Heart.

Emily, who publishes the Traditional Native Healing blog describes the Red Road as, “Simply put, the Red Road is a road of respect, humbleness, truthfulness, spirituality. It is believing that there is a power higher and greater than us who has a path for us. Each step on our path will be shown to us in time. It certainly does not mean having a perfect life. We can fall and stumble on the Red Path, but we also get up and keep going.”

cropped-8th-generation.jpgAlone and divided, we are weak. But when we come together in peace, love and friendship, we are strong and can stand against the ones who have oppressed all of us and all of our Ancestors around the world for centuries.

We are pots of clay, in the fire of the Master Potter who, if only we will surrender our anger and ego and fear, will work the miracle of transformation in our hearts and souls and minds – our very lives.

“We have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.” 2 Corinthians 4:7.

Our Spiritual Leader Chief Arvol Looking Horse has made it clear that the change the Native People of Turtle Island are to lead is through peace and teaching our ways, rather than through fighting and hate.

Chief Looking Horse All Nations“As we honor the Cycle of Life, let us call for Prayer circles globally to assist in healing Grandmother Earth (our Unc¹I Maka), and that we may also seek to live in harmony, as we make the choice to change the destructive path we are on.

As we pray, we will fully understand that we are all connected. And that what we create can have lasting effects on all life.

“So let us unite spiritually, All Nations, All Faiths, One Prayer. Along with this immediate effort, I also ask to please remember World Peace and Prayer Day/ Honoring Sacred Sites day. Whether it is a natural site, a temple, a church, a synagogue or just your own sacred space, let us make a prayer for all life, for good decision making by our Nations, for our children¹s future and well-being, and the generations to come.”

Indeed, we are blessed to be here at this time and in the place the Great Spirit has placed each of us to serve our families and communities and to walk out our story. Let us all remember that the hateful words we write to complete strangers in cyber-space have a way of popping up in our real lives. For it is out of the mouth that the heart speaks.

What is your heart saying?
