Today, April 24 2020, we claim (again) our INNATE and SOVEREIGN Indigenous right to worship the CREATOR and give thanks to our MOTHER EARTH in accordance with the teachings of our Elders and in the powerful presence of our Ancestors. A’ho.

As the people whose Ancestors lived and died on this sacred land, it is our responsibility to give thanks and prayer through ceremony as much as we possibly can. During this time of lock down, every person who believes they are following The Red Road should be in prayer and ceremony for our people and the land rather than wasting too much time posting silly memes on social media. In Toronto, the Land of the Dish with One Spoon, the Ancestral Homeland of the Mississaugas of New Credit First Nation, we give thanks to our gracious hosts for their patience and generosity. We give thanks for this beautiful land, this sacred meeting place of all people and pray for unity, peace, and love for all. A’ho.
We encourage you to search for the truth in the darkness of this time. To work on healing yourself, but also to turn away from dark messengers who share messages of hate and panic and division. We encourage you to take responsibility for yourselves and your families, for as our Ancestors teach us, if we rely on these governments and their giant corporations, we will be lost forever. This is prophecy.
The time of the 8th Fire is here and that means it is time for the Native people to stand up and take responsibility for their areas. To be a caretaker of our communities and the landscape. Pick up the garbage. Look after the creatures and birds. We must model the behavior we want to see on the New Earth. A’ho.
