One of the best ways to support our work is to book a Storytelling Circle with members of the Toronto Native Community. We discuss a wide range of topics based on our lived experience as members of the Native community who are healing from the effects of intergenerational trauma and colonization. These sessions are a key component of our Healing and Reconciliation work.
Our Bird Clan Messengers and Storytellers share many of their own experiences with racism, residential schools, addictions, homelessness, hunger, and tell how they have overcome trauma through reconnecting with our Traditional Indigenous culture.
Kandace’s story will interest people interested in learning about the Indigenous belief that what the western medical industry diagnoses as “mental illness” is actually a powerful life transition – a Spiritual Awakening and an opportunity to experience deep healing on every level.
